KENT HARRIS (Coalhouse) is pleased to make his debut with PPTOPA as Coalhouse Walker Jr.  Kent has starred in the off Broadway revival of Red Roses for Me (Sammy and the singer Sam).  Other musical roles include "Pilate" in Jesus Christ Superstar, "Rueben and the Baker" in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, "The Field Marshall" in Pippen, and he has co-starred in various musical theatre reviews.   He has been seen and heard in numerous national commercial and radio spots. Kent is happy to be under the musical direction of his long time friend and brother-in-law, Michael Day.  Kent would like to dedicate his performances to anyone who has gained strength and character through life's trials and tests--"Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne:  mercy and truth shall go before thy face" (Psalm 89:14).

CINDY PEARCE (Mother) was born and raised right here in Pembroke Pines. Since then, her life has lead her on such paths as the US Air Force, a degree in Musical Theater, NYC, then finally back to South Florida again. Cindy was last seen as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Lucy in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown and Domina in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Other favorite roles include Winifred in Once Upon A Mattress, Maise in the Boyfriend, Little Red in Into the Woods, as well as featured rolls in The Secret Garden with the Ft Lauderdale Players and The Scarlet Pimpernel with PPTOPA.  Thanks also go out to her family (especially Mom and Dad) for their never ending love and support, and Michael for being all that she could ever ask for.

JAMES CICHEWICZ (Tateh) is President of the Pembroke Pines Theatre of the Performing Arts, Inc., as well as actor, director and producer. He has numerous, award winning, roles to his credit; Hello Dolly, Fiddler on the Roof and Brigadoon to name a few. He appeared last as Sweeney in Sweeney Todd, The Scarlet Pimpernel and critically acclaimed, title role, of Jekyll & Hyde, Professor Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady and Sheridan Whiteside in The Man Who Came to Dinner. He dedicates this performance to his great-grandfather, Ralph Sinclair. James, like many in the City, were saddened at the passing of good friend to PPTOPA and member of the PPTOPA Board of Trustees, Sue Katz. She will be missed by all in the Pembroke Pines arts community.

TROY MERANDA (Younger Brother) is excited to be back in his sixth appearance with PPTOPA. He was last seen in The Wizard of Oz as the understudy Scarecrow. He has been singing and dancing since 4th grade. He credits include movies Justin to Kelly, Stuck on You. His theater experience includes Jekyll and Hyde, West Side Story, Carousel, The Sound of Music, Crazy for You, The Wizard of Oz, Fiddler on the Roof and many more. He is currently working with Maroone Auto Plaza and is continuing his acting career by moving to California sometime in 2005. He'd like to thank everyone at PPTOPA for being great friends and family thru all these years and for his Loving family who always supports him. Break a leg everyone!

JEANNE LYNN GRAY (Sara) is originally from Milwaukee, WI.  Jeanne has been performing since High School. She attended the summer program at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and has been an extra in a few movies and television shows such as A Perfect Murder and New York Undercover. However, Her first love is the theatre. She has been actively involved with the South Florida theatre scene for the past few years, having worked with such companies as KP Productions, Little Palm Family Theatre, Murder Mystery Players and Deluca Productions. She has had the pleasure of playing a variety of roles such as Armelia in Ain’t Misbehavin, Sister Robert-Anne in Nunsense, Ethel Merman/Elsa Maxwell in Red Hot & Cole and her Delray Beach Playhouse “2002 Best Supporting Actress” winning role, Wilma in Scrooge. Now, Jeanne is pleased to be performing the part of Sarah Brown in Ragtime, and equally pleased to be working with PPTOPA. She would like to thank God for all of his gifts, and her family and friends for all of their support, advice and shoulders to cry on as she continues to embark on this crazy journey. A special thought goes out to all of the men and women serving our country overseas… especially her brother, a sergeant in the Army.

MICHAEL TOROK (Father) was most recently seen at PPTOPA as Anthony Hope in Sweeney Todd and has recently been seen at the Broward Center as the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz and as the Ghost of Christmas Present in A Christmas Carol. Other Favorite roles include El Gallo (the Fantastiks), Pilate (J.C. Superstar), Arnold (the Boys Next Door), Harry (Once Upon a Mattress), and Charlie Brown (You're a Good Man Charlie Brown). After earning his degree in Musical Theater he spent several years in N.Y.C. before returning to S. FL. He would like to thank his family for their support and Cindy for her constant love and devotion.

SAMANTHA ADLER (Little Girl) is a straight "A" fourth grade student at Lakeside Elementary. She began performing with PPTOPA, JR. when she was in the first grade.  After playing in Tom Sawyer, Candyland, and a Variety Show she appeared in the PPTOPA production of My Fair Lady, A Man Who Came to Dinner, and The Wizard of Oz.   Sam has also been taking ballet, tap, and jazz for the last five years and has become a part of Dance Works' competition team.  Her hard work,  talent, love, and dedication to PPTOPA has proudly landed her the role of Little Girl in Ragtime and she couldn’t be more excited!  Sam would like to say I love you and thank you to her mom, dad, and brother for supporting and loving her so much.

LINDA ROBERTS (Emma Goldman) is no stranger to PPTOPA, having first appeared with them as Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music.  Performing since an early age, she has appeared on stage and backstage in several school and local productions both in the Buffalo area and in South Florida.  Some of these include:  The Glass Menagerie, Steel Magnolias, Jekyll & Hyde, My Fair Lady, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Man Who Came to Dinner, Sweeney Todd  and a musical revue called Fashions Broadway Bound.  A few of her favorite roles are:  Mammy Yokum in Li'l Abner, Guinevere in Camelot, Mimi in Can-Can, Mrs. Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie, Little Red in Into the Woods, Patricia Fodor in Crazy For You and the Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz.  To everyone in the cast:  "Break a leg!!" and to her husband Greg:  "You're fabulous! I love you!"

JADE WHELAN (Evelyn Nesbit) is appearing in her second production with PPTOPA. Previous local credits include Oklahoma, Guys & Dolls, Once Upon a Mattress, & Hello Dolly! at the Alper JCC. She studied musical theatre at AMDA in New York City and received her degree in Theatre Management from UM. Jade is currently Box Office & Accounts Manager at Maximum Dance Company and Managing Director for Fresco Productions. She would like to thank everyone at PPTOPA for the warm welcome into their community, and looks forward to participating in future productions.

CHICK CICIO (Harry Houdini) has been on stage since early childhood. Performed as vocalist in Carnagie Hall, Madison Square Garden, Metropolitan Opera House in NYC, Cafe Society and other night clubs in and around NY, just to name a few. Chick has been associated with PPTOPA since it's beginning. He has performed in approximately 19 shows, the last being "Sweeney Todd". Thanks to my wife Jennie and others for supporting my dreams.

BOB MANZA (Willie Conklin) is pleased to be the "bad guy" once again, after recently performing in PPTOPA’s production of The Wizard of Oz as the Scarecrow and in Sweeney Todd in the role of Johnas Fogg. He has been performing professionally with “Songs of Broadway” for many years. His credits include Lt. Schrenk in West Side Story, Jigger in Carousel, Lt. Branigan in Guys and Dolls, Avram in Fiddler on the Roof as well as other roles and chorus. He would like to thank his family for their constant support, thanks to all of the talented PPTOPA family, and thanks to Forest Willingham for giving me my first chance to perform.

KEITH KRAMER (J.P. Morgan) has starred as Mr. Kirby in You Can’t Take It With You, President Roosevelt in Arsenic and Old Lace, Earthquake McGoon in L’il Abner, and has appeared in The King and I, Fiddler on the Roof, Camelot, and Guys and Dolls. Mr. Kramer also serves as Vice President on the PPTOPA Board.

JAY MAXWELL (Harry K. Thaw) has been actively involved with PPTOPA for 9 years. Currently on the Board of Directors, Jay is proud to be involved with this great show and talented cast. As always Jay dedicates this show to his daughter Lauren.

ZACHARY TAYLOR LEIBELL (Little Boy Understudy) is nine years old and attends Gulfstream Montessori School where drama and music are a big part of his life. He is an avid tap dancer, piano player, and actor, having appeared in two short films. When he grows up his goal is to make it to Hollywood and be a big star like his favorite thespian, Mike Myers.

MICHELE PERKINS (Ensemble, Mother Understudy) is happy to once again be onstage with her favorite people: her students, her PPTOPA friends, and her family. She was last seen as Auntie Em (or as she likes to call it, the ANTI-EM)in The Wizard of Oz. Other shows include Sweeney Todd, Mame, My Fair Lady, Jekyll and Hyde, and The Sound of Music. Thanks to Dawn for trying to make me pretty, and to John for agreeing to be my little brother (I know it's a stretch). Love you both more than I care to admit.

EDITH C. BARNES (Company, Emma Goldman Understudy) has been performing on stage since she was a child. Edith attended Richmond, the American International University in London, England where she earned degrees in Theatre and British studies, and received training from professors at RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts). She has worked in theatre in England and here in South Florida, both on stage and behind the scenes. Some of her favorite shows that she has worked with include Guys and Dolls, Club Cockatoo, Mind the Gap, and Crimes of the Heart. This is her third show with PPTOPA, after playing Truvy in Steel Magnolias, and assisting with sound in The Wizard of Oz. She would like to thank her wonderful husband Jeff and her beautiful infant son Harrison for all their love and support.

EMILIANA ARTECHE (Ensemble) is a thirteen year old seventh grader at the Sagemont Upper School. She has appeared in the show Annie as Molly and has also appeared as Roxie Hart in her school's Dinner Theater. Emiliana has recently preformed in the show Into the Woods as Cinderrella. This is her second show with PPTOPA; the first was The Wizard of Oz. She would like to thank all of her family and friends that have helped her and supported her.

APRILROSE MANZA (Ensemble) is 17 years old and is glad to be back at PPTOPA for another show.  She has previously been seen in Sweeny Todd, as Olive in The Odd Couple (female version) Claire in Rumors and Velma in West Side Story. She has traveled throughout Florida performing with the professional theater company Songs of Broadway. She would like to thank her parents for their constant support, Allie for doing the show with her and her friends, Joe, Andrew, Sara & Bryan for always being there.

TRACEY PREZEAU (Ensemble) is making her debut performance with this production. While working on her undergraduate degree at Cortland College, she was an active member in the school's Gospel Choir. Tracey is currently a third grade teacher at Lakeside Elementary School. This has been a wonderful experience.

QUENTIN "BOB" HODGES (Ensemble) is happy to making his onstage debut with PPTOPA. Quentin enjoys fiddling with the newest computer technology during his spare time. This has been a very interesting experience.

JONATHAN MAISEL (Ensemble) is delighted to be performing in his first production with PPTOPA. Currently he is a sixth grader at American Heritage. Jonathan has been acting since the age of six and has participated in numerous productions including Christmas Carol at Broward Center and Titanic with American Heritage and Mosaic Theatre. Jonathan would like to thank his performing arts teachers, and family for their endless support and enriching his life with the arts.

MARGE AUERBACH (Ensemble) is a 25 year member of Community Theater.  She has been in over 50 productions.  Her favorite role was "Yente" in Fiddler on the Roof, and Mrs. Eyensford-Hill in My Fair Lady.                                                                                           
RUTH FINK (Ensemble, Mother of Houdini) acting for over 40 years has met so many wonderful and talented people.  Her most enjoyable musical comedy was "Lil Abner" in which she payed Mammy Yokem".
      
KALENA ARMSTRONG-HENRY (Ensemble) is excited to be performing with PPTOPA for the first time. Ever since college, where she worked on several music videos, community television programming, and a locally produced small budget movie; she has wanted to try her hand at theatre. She wishes to thank PPTOPA for helping her make that wish come true

SYNCLAIR HENRY (Ensemble) is excited to be performing with PPTOPA for the first time. She is a 4th grader and honor role student at Pembroke Pines-FSU Charter Elementary School. Besides for her new found love of acting, Synclair enjoys singing, cooking, girl scouts and playing basketball.

SYDNEY HENRY (Ensemble) is happy to join her mother and older sister in this production of Ragtime. She is 6 years old and a 1st grade honor roll student at Beacon Hill School. She loves reading, singing, bike riding and girl scouts.

NICHOLAS GOODEN (Ensemble) is very excited for the opportunity to work with PPTOPA.  This is Nick’s theatrical debut. Nick is a sophomore at Pines Charter High School. From a young age Nick has always involved in many School, Church and other theatrical events performing either small or large roles.

KATHRYN "KAT" THORN (Ensemble) is currently an eleventh grade first year IB student in Miramar High School's magnet program.  She moved to Miramar from Miami Beach in eight grade, where she was truly overjoyed when she found PPTOPA after pining over her lost chance at applying as a cellist to the New World School of the Arts and finding Miramar's Arts program unsatisfying.  Kathryn wishes to thank the PPTOPA staff and affiliates as always for providing her with the opportunity to be in such a great show, and her mother and Mrs. Cooper for putting up with her on the rides to and from the theater

DENISE HEYLIGER (Ensemble) feels privileged to join PPTOPA in their performance of Ragtime.  Denise is a Second Grade Teacher at Lakeside Elementary.  She is a proud wife and mom of two.  She has worked with Lakeside's Aftercare Program teaching dance and drama.  During her spare time she enjoys relaxing with a good novel, and spending time with her family.

NICOLA D. AMERSON (Ensemble) is a students at W. C. Young Middle School. She also is a Jazz, Classical, Tap and Ballet Dancer. She had been dancing at for four years at the Dancer's Gallery Foundation. She currently dancing with the Madison Brodie Dancer's Company, and acting in a play called Ragtime.

MICHELLE GIOULAKIS (Ensemble) is delighted to be a part of the Ragtime cast in her first production with PPTOPA. Michelle studied voice at Boston University's School for the Arts. Her credits include Verdi's opera Aida with the Opera Theatre Company of New Jersey, Stop the World I Want to Get Off, Yesterday's Good Girl, The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Smell of the Crowd and solo appearances with musical ensembles. Michelle wishes to thank her husband and sons for their support of her return to singing and performing after a hiatus of many years.

LEON ARTECHE (Ensemble) returns to PPTOPA for his second show, the first being Wizard of Oz. Leon is a 14 year old freshman at the Sagemont School and participates in the choir and drama programs at his school. He was last seen as Rapunzel’s Prince in Into the Woods. He hopes to continue working with PPTOPA and wishes to attend UM for a degree in Musical Theater and English. He would like to thank the cast and creative crew for this opportunity and would like to thank his parents for allowing and supporting him with his dream.

DOUG ASHTON (Ensemble) was born in Brooklyn, of Jamaican parents. I actually lived in Jamaica a number of year, where for a short spell, I was part of the 'Montego Bay Little Theatre Movement.' I also lived in San Diego, but presently reside in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

DEBORAH SEIXAS (Ensemble) is pleased to be performing with PPTOPA for the first time. While living in Jamaica she performed in a high school musical for the local t.v. station. Since moving to the United States she has participated in a musical tribute to her native country's independence.  Deborah is a 2nd grade teacher at Lakeside Elementary.  She is proud to be joined by her daughter Alana in this production.

ALANA SEIXAS (Ensemble) is a 6th grader at Walter C. Young Middle School.  This is her first performance with PPTOPA.  Her hobbies are playing keyboard, listening to a variety of music, and playing tennis.

CALLIE GLOE (Ensemble) has appeared in several shows with PPTOPA.  She can be found working behind the scenes with the lights and spot.  She would like to thank her friends and family for their love and support.

EDWARD J. NUGENT, JR. (Ensemble) returns, enthusiastically, to the PPTOPA stage to collaborate in his fourth production. While absent from stage, Eddie started a band, "NuTempo," with his brother. They'll be performing throughout the South Florida music scene. Eddie looks forward to this spectacular show and wishes to thank everyone at PPTOPA for their warm welcome. Much love to everyone and thanks to Mom and Dad. Thanks Adry you are also inspiring.

SHEELA COOPER (Ensemble) is appearing in her second production with PPTOPA just ending in The Wizard of Oz.  She played one of the members of the city of Oz and was part of the company which sang a lot in the background.  She and was part of the company which sang a lot in the background.  She has been singing since she was very young and is proud to be part of a group such as PPTOPA because they strive to give their best performance from not just the beginning number, but also to the end.  Sheela is also a full-time working mother, is married, and has 2 children ages 4 1/2 and 28.  She is also very happy to have 2 grand-daughters.  She is very pleased with the support that her family gives her to "dream her dream" of performing and singing.

SHAWN GAGE (Ensemble) is excited to be performing for the first time with PPTOPA in the production of Ragtime. He is a junior at Pembroke Pines Charter High School where he performed this past December in the school's AMT presentation of Violet and Into the Woods Jr. in the Spring. Since his Sophomore year, he has teched every thespian production including talent shows and the spring play: A Midsummer Night's Dream. Shawn had a significant role in an industrial production: An as yet untitled training film for police officers, set to be released this summer by Zomar Productions for the Florida League of Cities.

BEN TOROK (Ensemble) was most recently seen with PPTOPA in The Wizard of Oz as The Tin Man and the chorus of Sweeny Todd, he has been seen with Gold Coast Opera in The Student Prince, The Barber of Seville and Romeo et' Juliet. Other favorite shows include The Littlest Mermaid and Fame. Ben is thankful for the opportunity and would like to thank his family and friends for their love, laughs, and continual support.

PATTY LADOLCETTA (Ensemble) is excited to be in Ragtime, her second show with PPTOPA, following her performance in the Wizard of Oz as an “Oz-ian”.  An Assistant Director of Finance at a local municipality by day, she loves to dance and perform in any way possible.  She has performed in various college productions and church variety shows over the years as a dancer and in the chorus, and looks forward to many more with PPTOPA.  She wishes to thank her family and friends for their patience and support.

STACEY MARINO (Ensemble) has been a member of PPTOPA since it’s inception. Stacey was last seen on stage in The Wizard of Oz, Crazy for You and as Reno in Anything Goes and has appeared in countless productions including Daisy Mae in Li’l Abner, Nancy in Oliver, and Tsiedel in Fiddler on the Roof. Stacey is thrilled to appear on stage once again and would like to thank her husband Anthony and daughter Savannah for all of their love and support.

SHERRY PARIS (Ensemble) is a member of the board for PPTOPA. She has graced our stage in countless productions including Jekyll and Hide which was one of her favorite. She would like to send her love to her family as well as a special message to her son David, who is presently serving in the armed forces, “ I’m very proud of you. I love you and miss you.”

MICHAEL DAY (Musical Director) is a music graduate from McGill University in Montreal. He has performed and directed in a variety of settings for the last twenty years. For three years he has enjoyed working with all the talented players of this organization.  (Sound of Music, Jekyll & Hyde, My Fair Lady, Scarlet Pimpernel, Crazy For You and Sweeny Todd ) He currently teaches in Dade County. He would like to thank his wife Janice for her ongoing love and support.

STACEY CICHEWICZ (Choreographer) is a founding member of PPTOPA. Stacey has choreographed countless productions for our group including The Scarlet Pimpernel, Jekyll and Hyde, Anything Goes, and Fiddler on the Roof to name a few. She continues to amaze us with her talent.

JILL ADLER (Assistant Director) is thrilled to once again be working under Florence Andrews.  She has been on the PPTOPA Board for going on two years and is very proud of the amazing talent they support.  After Producing Crazy for You and Brighton Beach Memoirs she is thoroughly enjoying  working directly with the talent.  The best part of this particular show however, is having the opportunity to work with her daughter, "Little Girl", Samantha.  All of her love and pride goes to husband Brian, son Zachary, and daughter Samantha.

DAWN LUNA (Assistant Director) was last seen in Crazy for You and My Fair Lady and is making her directorial debut with Ragtime. Dawn is responsible for many of the costumes and headdresses. She is a great asset to PPTOPA and she hopes to be around for a long time in the future. She would like to thank her new husband Alexander for his love and support.

FLORENCE ANDREWS (Director) is very excited about this production of Ragtime. Florence has been directing shows in Florida for over 20 years. She has also appeared in numerous shows and is in charge of ticket sales and costumes.
